I know, I know there is so much fail out there and I have not been posting it. Please send it to me!! If I only post from my own work I will be unemployed!

We have a wonderful submission today, I wish I had not seen pallets like this many many times, I am thrilled that we have one documented!

Apparently someone out there missed school the day they learned about gravity... I assume there must be some sort of stretch wrap supporting this miracle of modern science.

Please, I beg you, all you people out there who are playing or working in museum collections, doing appraisals, or for any reason are making lists of objects:
PLEASE GIVE ME A ONE WORD DESCRIPTION OF WHAT SOMETHING IS!
Can you tell I am sorting through and cross referencing old inventories right now? I just hit a list of 30 or so things with lots of abbreviations and descriptive words, but leave out an important detail: WHAT THE %&*^% ARE THEY!?!?!?

I think is it time to step away  and get some lunch....

I am taking a wonderfully relaxing vacation this week, so updating has been not possible. Please send me any new entires you might have lying around so I can get back on it!

Or send me free tickets to stuff to do in San Diego while I am here.  :)

I promise all entries are anonymous and confidential! Multiple entries will be scattered so that they are disconnected.

If I get more of these sort I will have to make people guess what it is! I was sent this beauty from a fellow museum professional.

We all know that there is a time and a place for packing tape, I love the stuff! But this is a little extreme.

If you haven't guessed yet what lovely item is being choked in this frightening unopenable package, it is.

A pasta machine!!

On the plus side, it sure is not getting dusty...

First post.

Museums are rarely considered to be places of humor, but we giggle amongst ourselves all the time with the ridiculous stuff people do. Just for fun I want to give us our own little fail blog, a little bit funny, a little bit educational.  Any pictures posted will be anonymous, recognizable museum names will be blurred to protect the good names of our workplaces and employees.

Picture number 1: How NOT to number artifacts. each one of these is supposed to be an identifier for an artifact. I particularly like the question mark and the sudden addition of roman numerals that appear nowhere else.
